Your orders stay on your device
The orders you type into Rekod, including your customers' names and phone numbers, are kept in your browser's storage on your own device. They are not sent to HornDev Labs or to anyone else, and we cannot see them.
If you clear your browser's data, remove Rekod, or lose the device, the orders on it are gone. Save a copy to a file regularly from Rekod's More screen.
What we receive
When you open Rekod or this site, our hosting provider, Vercel, handles the request as any website host does, which includes your device's internet address and browser details. The site also uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page visits and measure how fast pages load. We do not receive your orders through any of this.
Shop links (Rekod Pro)
A shop link carries the shop's name, WhatsApp number and products inside the link itself. When a customer orders through it, their name, phone number, address and order go from their phone into a WhatsApp message to the seller. That information sits in the part of the link after the # sign, which browsers do not send to our servers, and the site's analytics are set to drop that part. HornDev Labs does not receive or keep it.
WhatsApp and backup files
When you press a WhatsApp button, Rekod opens WhatsApp with a message written out. What you send from there is between you, your customer and WhatsApp.
Backup and CSV files contain your customers' details. They are yours: keep them somewhere safe and share them only with people you trust.
Your customers' details
You decide what you record about your customers and how you use it. If you keep personal details of your customers, data protection law where you trade may apply to you.
Terms of use
Rekod is free and provided as it is, without any promise that it will be free of faults or always available. HornDev Labs is not responsible for orders that are lost, for example through cleared browser data or a lost device. We may change Rekod or stop offering it.
